About the role
Damisa is a B2B financial infrastructure company providing businesses with solutions for cross-border payments, collections, payouts, and stablecoin settlement. We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to expand our footprint and unlock new opportunities within the Swiss and international commodities trading industry.
This is a high-ownership role ideal for someone with a background in finance, commodities, or international trade who wants to build a career in business development. You will work closely with the commercial team to identify prospective clients, build trusted relationships with trading houses, and introduce Damisa's financial solutions to businesses operating across borders. It is a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of traditional commodities trading and next-generation digital payments.
What you will do
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the commodities trading sector, focusing primarily on the Swiss market.
Build and nurture lasting relationships with commodity trading firms, trading houses, and businesses involved in international trade.
Consult with prospective clients to deeply understand their financial requirements, including cross-border payments, foreign exchange, and settlement.
Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach and discovery through to successful onboarding, collaborating seamlessly with internal teams.
Maintain market expertise by tracking developments and commercial challenges within the commodities industry.
Represent Damisa at relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand our brand presence.
What you will bring
1–3 years of professional experience in financial services, commodity trading, trade finance, or a closely related field.
A solid understanding of the commodities trading sector and international business transactions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage directly with senior industry professionals.
Sharp commercial awareness and a genuine, proactive interest in developing business relationships.
A self-motivated and independent working style, highly comfortable operating in a fully remote environment.
Fluency in English.
Current residency and the legal right to work in Switzerland (minimum B permit or Swiss citizenship required).
Nice to have
Previous B2B sales or business development experience (candidates with strong industry knowledge looking to transition into sales are highly encouraged to apply).
Fluency in additional languages relevant to the Swiss and international markets (e.g., German, French, or Italian).
What we offer
A fully remote working arrangement based in Switzerland, as part of a dynamic and scaling international team.
The chance to accelerate your career at the exciting intersection of financial services, commodity trading, and digital payments.
Broad exposure to international businesses and complex cross-border financial operations.
High ownership and autonomy over business development opportunities in a rapidly growing sector.
A competitive salary and benefits package.
If you have experience in finance or commodities and are ready to help build the next generation of global financial infrastructure, we'd like to hear from you.
